Digital Marketing Agency
Our software development spans 35 years and Digital Marketing Agency since 1991. We are one of America's oldest software development companies based in the Charlotte, NC area and compeletely debt-free.
As a professional Digital Marketing Agency and marketing agency, Avoli helps increase your company's overall Internet presence and ranking by blending award-winning Digital Marketing Agency, software development SEO best practices, web design, best practices, social media marketing, and custom content marketing programs where we write and distribute custom content weekly. No matter what you do in your offline and online marketing, 9 times out of 10, the next thing that people you reach will do is search to visit your main website. Our approach as your Digital Marketing Agency & Marketing agency is to look at your entire marketing program and evaluate how your main website can evolve to become the center of your Internet marketing focus. What this comes down to is your company's online ability to deliver highly-relative, fresh content to attract customers and prospects. We also implement really good technical SEO. We want to increase your website traffic and ultimately return visits. Web designers use a variety of different tools depending on what part of the production process they are involved in. These tools are updated over time by newer standards and software but the principles behind them remain the same. Web graphic designers use vector and raster graphics packages to create web-formatted imagery or prototypes. Technologies used to create websites include standardised mark-up, which can be hand-coded or generated by WYSIWYG editing software. There is also proprietary software based on plug-ins that bypasses the clients browser versions. These are often WYSIWYG but with the option of using the softwares scripting language. Search engine optimization tools are used to check search engine ranking and suggest improvements.
Digital Marketing Agency and MarketingMarketing and communication design on a website identify what works for its target market. This can be an age group or particular strand of culture; thus the web designer understands the trends of its audience. Designers understand the type of website they are designing, meaning, for example, that (B2B) business-to-business website design considerations might differ greatly from a consumer targeted website such as a retail or entertainment website. Careful consideration might be made to ensure that the aesthetics or overall design of a site do not clash with the clarity and accuracy of the content or the ease of web navigation, especially on a B2B website. Designers should consider the reputation of the owner or business the site is representing to make sure they are portrayed favourably.
Experience Design ProfessionalsUnderstanding of the content of a website often depends on understanding of how the website works. This is part of the user experience. This experience is related to layout, clear instructions and labeling on a website. How well a person understands how they can interact on a web site also depend on the interactive design of the site. If a person perceives the usefulness of the website, they are more likely to continue using it. Individuals who are skilled and well versed with a website find a more unique, yet less intuitive or less user-friendly website interface useful nonetheless. However, those with less experience are less likely to see the advantages or usefulness of a less intuitive website interface. This drives the trend for a more universal experience and ease of access to accommodate as many users as possible regardless of their skill. Much of the web experience design and interactive design are considered in the user interface design. Advanced interactive functions require plug-ins if not advanced coding language skills. Choosing whether or not to use interactivity that requires plug-ins is a critical decision in user experience design. If the plug-in doesn't come pre-installed with most browsers, there's a risk that they will have neither the know how or the patience to install a plug-in just to access the content. If the function requires advanced coding language skills, it may be too costly in either time or money to code compared to the amount of enhancement the function will add to the overall experience. There's also a risk that advanced interactivity may be incompatible with older browsers or hardware configurations. Publishing a function that doesn't work reliably is potentially worse for the their experience than making no attempt. It depends on the target audience if it's likely to be needed or worth any risks.
Web Page LayoutPart of our digital web interface design is affected by the quality of the page layout. For example, a designer may consider whether the site's page layout should remain consistent on different pages when designing the layout. Page pixel width may also be considered vital for aligning objects in the digital layout designs. The most popular fixed-width website generally has the same set width to match the current most popular browser window, at the current most popular screen resolution, on the current most popular monitor size. Most pages are also center-aligned for concerns of aesthetics on larger screens. Fluid layouts increased in popularity around 2000 as an alternative to web HTML-table-based layouts and grid-based design in both page layout design principle and in coding technique, but were very slow to be adopted. This was due to considerations of screen reading devices and varying windows sizes which designers have no control over. Accordingly, an interface may be broken down into units (sidebars, content blocks, embedded advertising areas, navigation areas) that are sent to the browser and which will be fitted into the display window by the browser, as best it can. As the browser does recognize the details of the reader's screen (window size, font size relative to window etc.) the browser can make user-specific layout adjustments to fluid layouts, but not fixed-width layouts. Although such a display may often change the relative position of major content units, sidebars may be displaced below body text rather than to the side of it. This is a more flexible display than a hard-coded grid-based layout that doesn't fit the device window. In particular, the relative position of content blocks may change while leaving the content within the block unaffected. This also minimizes the user's need to horizontally scroll the page. Responsive Web Designs are a newer approach, based on CSS3, and a deeper level of per-device specification within the page's stylesheet through an enhanced use of the CSS @media pseudo-selector.
TypographyWeb designers choose to limit the variety of website typefaces to only a few which are of a similar style, instead of using a wide range of typefaces or type styles. Most browsers recognize a specific number of safe fonts, which designers mainly use in order to avoid complications. Font downloading was later included in the CSS3 fonts module and has since been implemented in Safari 3.1, Opera 10 and Mozilla Firefox 3.5. This has subsequently increased interest in web typography, as well as the usage of font downloading. Most site layouts incorporate negative space to break the text up into paragraphs and also avoid center-aligned text.
Motion graphicsThe web page layout and interface also is affected by the use of motion graphics. The choice of whether or not to use motion graphics depends on the target market for the website. However, a website target audience with a more serious or formal interest (such as business, community, or government) might find animations unnecessary and distracting if only for entertainment or decoration purposes. This doesn't mean that more serious content couldn't be enhanced with animated or video presentations that is relevant to the content. In either case, motion graphic designs make the difference between more effective visuals or distracting visuals.
Quality of codeWebsite designers consider it to be good practice to conform to standards. This is usually done via a description specifying what the element is doing. Failure to conform to standards make a website unusable or error prone, but standards can relate to the correct layout of pages for readability as well making sure coded elements are closed appropriately. This includes errors in code, more organized layout for code, and making sure IDs and classes are identified properly. Poorly-coded pages are sometimes colloquially called tag soup. Validating via W3C can only be done when a correct DOCTYPE declaration is made, which is used to highlight errors in code. The system identifies the errors and areas that do not conform to Digital Marketing Agency standards. We've built a reputation for creating sites that get talked about - gorgeous functional sites. We attribute our accomplishments to a combination of our proficiency in visual design with our dedication to being on top of the latest and smartest technologies. Our websites are created to help our clients build meaningful relationships with their audience. Engaging interactive experiences that are successful because of a process that involves collaborative strategy, creative development and implementation that keeps your immediate and future goals in mind. Beautiful and web creative designs are important, but ease of use plays an equally significant role in web User Interface (UI). Whether it's a website, application or kiosk, good User Interface allows people to understand how to interact with your brand without having to give it a second thought. The more intuitive the interface, the more people will use it. Web content is the reason that people come to your Web pages. But many Web designers and Web developers forget this in their rush to create the prettiest page or the most interesting architecture or the best interaction. When it comes right down to it, customers are not interested in whether your design has a 3-pixel or a 5-pixel bevel. They don't care that you've built it in Drupal. And they just want the interactivity to work and not get in the way. What your customers are coming to your Web page for is the content. And if your designs, architectures, and interactivity don't provide that content they will leave. At the end of the day content is still king, and designers who forget that won't remain in business long. Did you know Avoli offers much more than web services? We have been writing Windows applications longer than anyone. We first beta tested Visual Basic with Microsoft and have written windows applications ever since. If you need multi-threading capabilities, windows services, dlls or web services we can perform those tasks as well. Financial companies trust us to build custom encryption algorithms as well to ensure their data is held close and confidential. Having custom encryption algorithms make it even harder for someone to use confidential information.

Digitla Video and Audio Marketing
One of the most critical parts of any film or video production is finding the music that helps tell the story most effectively. Whether it's for a television commercial, feature film, corporate video, or simply a vacation highlight reel, the music we select has a profound impact on how a video feels to its audience. We thought it would be fun and useful to explore the ways in which different songs change our perception of the same footage. What we found is what directors, editors, and music supervisors around the world know all too well: music guides our perception of video, setting our expectations for what comes next, while playing a crucial role in how we respond emotionally to what we see. Our analysis of how each of the tracks used helps create a very specific emotional response.
After your site is live we move into a marketing campaign where we:

About Our 4D Agile Methodology
We've been building custom software for 35 years, so we've got some pretty strong feelings about how to do it correctly. After all, that's a long time to do anything. In that time, we've seen and tried a lot of software methodologies, taking the best ideas, or at least those that worked for us. The result is a methodology we created in 1990 called the 4D Methodology. 4D stands for Define, Design, Develop and Deploy.
In a nutshell, when you follow 4D Methodology (a proven software methodology) you are no longer winging it. Now that's not to say following a software methodology guarantees success. In the wrong hands, it won't make a bit of difference. Furthermore, even the most talented software professionals can find themselves knee deep if they don't have a plan. So you need both, really.
To get things started, we immerse ourselves in your digital brand to understand its unique culture and image. We research your industry, direct competitors and the behaviors of your target audience, to uncover trends and learn the desires of your customers. Fully understanding this big picture gives us the insight and knowledge necessary to identify potential digital marketing opportunities and challenges. With our unique perspective and specialized expertise, we develop a creative brief document that sets the foundation of our work by defining your brand's goals, challenges and key messages.
With a deep understanding of your brand, we begin to craft the communication and information architecture strategy of your project within a user-flow diagram and content outline. These documents ensure a seamless delivery of your key messages within the platform. Next, our technical strategy takes shape within a statement of work document and wireframes that provide in-depth detail about the features, functionality requirements and overall experience of the platform.
Before you try to design and create your digital solution, you really need to define the basic nature of your project. It makes no sense to rush out designing the perfect solution before you've even defined the problem. Otherwise, how do you know we've even satisfied your requirements? Just as importantly, how would you measure the success of the project?
Next, we combine our solid strategy from the definition phase with big-idea creative to deliver superior design. This innovative combination creates the magic that inspires and engages your customers, while also delivering your key messages. Throughout this phase, we work to establish a look and feel that your digital customers will embrace. We create original design concepts and revise those designs until everyone is happy. Our most successful projects occur when clients trust us to be truly innovative.
Now that have a better idea about what we need to do, we summon the great software gods (or look at how we accomplished similar projects in the past) and formulate an appropriate solution. Now you might be thinking..."great, We are off the hook now". Sorry, you aren't getting off that easy. We work with you and/or your digital team to craft the best solution. It's a team effort. We use neat prototyping tools, and a host of other aids, to make sure we are all on the same page. Our goal is to build the right solution, not cover our butts with complex technical docs you sign off on.
With our interactive strategy and innovative design in hand, our project progresses into the development phase. We use leading-edge technology and established best practices to bring your project to life. We create a beta version within a staging environment to test and evaluate the integrity of our work and ensure all content has been accurately transferred and incorporated. Following successful user testing and quality assurance, we coordinate the project's implementation with your team.
One clarification before we dive into this stage. Digital solution development is a highly iterative process. This isn't a waterfall approach. It is common for parts of an application to go through the 4D's several times, until we get it exactly right. For example, we might discover that a billing module doesn't work exactly as intended while in the develop stage. This would cause us to clarify the requirements (define stage) and revisit the design, before making the required coding changes. Bottom line: it's a dynamic process. Don't let the linear structure of our methodology fool you.
Note: This is a user-centric, iterative and flexible methodology for delivering success and addresses all aspects of system design and development including project management, requirements definition, user experience and interface design, development, quality assurance, as well as non-development tasks such as systems, digital solutions and technology selection, content production, management and workflow.
