Availability Disappointment

Would have been nice if these were available before volleyball seasons started. We've been waiting for weeks.

Scarcity is a shoe!

I can’t help but say it: the scarcity culture that brands can create—and profit from—is fascinating to watch.

Suddenly these shoes are the volleyball shoes. They’re hard to get, everyone is talking about them, and the message becomes: these are the shoes you need to be “in” this year.

But will they make a kid jump higher? Hit harder? Pass better? Read the court better? Become a better athlete?

At some point, skill is still skill.

I see this playing out among the girls at my daughter’s school and around others , and honestly, it makes me wonder what kind of consumer culture we’re building around our kids. A shoe becomes more than a shoe—it becomes a marker of belonging, performance, and status.

And maybe that’s the part I find most strange: convincing kids that the next product might be the thing that makes them better, when so much of athletic performance still comes from practice, strength, movement, confidence, and actual skill.

We actually agree with a lot of what you’re saying—no shoe is going to replace hard work, practice, confidence, strength, or skill. 😊

Our goal with Avoli is simply to create a volleyball shoe that athletes are excited to wear and that supports them as they do the work. We love that players feel connected to the shoes and the community around them, but we never want a shoe to define an athlete—or make a young player feel like they need a certain product to belong or succeed.

At the end of the day, the athlete makes the shoe, not the other way around. ❤️🏐

Availability is very disappointing

To not have volleyball shoes in stock before the season starts is very disappointing. My daughter really wants a pair but her season starts tomorrow and I’ll have to get something else because the restock never happened. That’s a very bad way to treat the consumer especially all the female athletes wanting to support this brand.

We’re truly sorry for the disappointment, especially with your daughter’s season starting tomorrow. We completely understand how frustrating it is to be excited about supporting Avoli and then not have the shoes available when you need them. That’s not the experience we want for our athletes or their families. ❤️🏐

Was waiting to get these shoes mid August but now it says end of August! It would be helpful in they were to make it a priority to have them always on stock before school and club seasons
